Evacuation Chair

Evacuation Chair

A UNIQUE RANGE OF FIRE AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION SOLUTIONS

Key considerations for the occupier of premise will include:
  • The Fire Brigade generally do not accept responsibility for the evacuation of premises.
  • The Disability Discrimination Act requires adequate means of escape for all.
  • Adequate provision for escape constitutes a fundamental duty of care towards all persons within buildings under your control.
  • In most cases passenger lifts will be inoperative during an emergency such as a fire.

A Risk Assessment of your premises is the appropriate vehicle to determine your needs which will include solutions for:

  • Standard straight down stairways and others including flares and spirals.
  • Varying stairway surfaces and construction.
  • Areas occupied below ground level requiring upward evacuation.
  • The provision of refuges where necessary which must be evacuated by you within appropriate timescales.
  • The flow volume and location of population throughout the building(s), including people with reduced mobility or other special needs.

In most large buildings or in situations involving several structures there is usually a significant range of evacuation challenges.

A single design of device will not usually meet all needs.

The uniquely wide range of alternative devices including tracked, traditional and powered, including that provided by AAT(GB) Ltd who are substantial suppliers to the NHS, Ambulance Service, Social Services, The National Trust, Universities, and the Aircraft Industry, means that precisely the right solution is available to you for each stairway, from a single supplier.

We are UNIQUELY able to help you to make the best choices from a full range of cost effective alternatives and to support you with UK wide training and after sales services.
